Baby's First Valentine's Day!

A year ago I was praying my baby would just be born already! Alot of people told me, "you don't want her to be born on Valentine's Day though!" I thought...why not?! I've always loved this day primarily because I'm a hopeless romantic!! But also because my family always showed me what a special day it was, to show love to those around you...as every day should be :)

I was greeted home (from visiting Chelle in texas) by my beautiful daughter and loving mother at the airport! Kyle surprised me when I got home with yummy chocolate covered strawberries!

While in San Antonio, I picked out a pink pony with western print for Marissa! Chelle and I named it "Texalina Valentina" but when I voice texted it to our mom, my iPhone called her "Selena Valentina"! Chelle and I thought worked better anyway and changed her name to Selena!

Home from Texas...then lunch with Grandma & 'Rissa 

K: (in the car after purchasing from Cavenders) now we have to name her!

C: what do you think her name should be?

K: something Texas-like....

C: hmmm....

K: how 'bout Texalina?! ooohhhh...Texalina Valentina! 

C: hahaha, that's a good one!

K: I'm gonna text it to mom!

C: ok!

K: (voice text) I just got a Valentines present for miss M, it's a pink pony and we named her Texalina Valentina"

iPhone: I just got a Valentines present for miss M, it's a pink pony and we named her text Selena Valentina"

K: haha...the phone thought I said 'text Selena'! 

C: haha, that's funny!

K: hmmm, Selena is kinda better...it rolls off the tongue 

C: true. wanna change it?

K: yeah.
