In Awe
Going through old photos tonight has me in such awe - of my kids, my husband...life. I have been truly blessed with a loving family, Kyle's and my own, two gorgeous children (both whom I cannot stop staring at because they take my breath away).
Today, even though she pooped AND peed...TWICE in her big girl panties, Marissa was a complete angel! She was so helpful and adorable in helping me around the house and with her brother. While I made dinner, she asked to could go outside and play with bubbles. Why not?! I told her sure, as long as she kept her jacket and boots on. She must have played outside on the patio for 45 minutes. Every time I looked up from cooking, she would be singing and playing make pretend with the plastic toys. (PS. I made these chimichangas - amazing!!)
Trent would not sleep today. He finally screamed himself to sleep due to pure exhaustion at 4:15pm...but the morning was as close as you could get to perfection. He was smiley and let me run a couple errands without a second of fussing. Funny how there are so many highs and lows with each day. This is the case without kids but I find them more noticeable since having them, certainly so with two.
I am so thankful and appreciate my amazing friends; without them, many of my days would be quite difficult.
Praying this feeling lasts throughout the night, should one of my little blessings wake up and deprive me much desired sleep....
